One toy that I was really attached to as a child was a small remote-control car. It was bright red with black racing stripes, and honestly, to my younger self, it looked like a real sports car straight out of a movie. I got it as a birthday gift from my uncle when I was around eight years old, and I still remember how excited I felt when I opened the box. It was probably the happiest moment of my childhood at that time.I used to play with it almost every afternoon after school. Our house had a long veranda, and I would turn it into my own little racing track. Sometimes, I created obstacles using books, slippers, or empty bottles and pretended I was competing in an international car race. My cousins often joined me, and we would spend hours laughing, arguing about who was the better driver, and fixing the car whenever it crashed into a wall. Looking back, it was such a simple toy, but it created so many unforgettable memories.
What made the toy special was not only the car itself, but also the imagination it inspired in me. It encouraged me to be creative and curious about how machines worked. I think that childhood fascination is one reason why I later became interested in technology and gadgets. Even today, whenever I see remote-control cars in shops, I feel a strange sense of nostalgia. It reminds me of a time when happiness was simple, pure, and powered by two AA batteries.
